  Detective of secrets V: Insomniac
Posted by: Laertes1 - 05-22-2016, 03:53 AM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (5)

DETECTIVE OF SECRETS V: Insomniac

(Reid Bailley wakes up from a dream about his favorite book "The Cave of Time by Edward Packard" ((Choose Your Own Adventure franchise)))

Reid:  Whoa?  Where Am I?

Yogg Saron:  (in a deep voice) HELLO.

Reid?  Wait, wait, is that,  Yogg Saron, come to life, from Hearthstone?

YS:  Indeed it is.  I see you have played the game more hours than you have done with your homework, yet again.  I am very pleased

Reid:  Mr. Saron i have many ques....

YS:  Spare me the trivialities of your human speech.  I have come to let you know, you have been a wonderful private eye.  I and my tentacled friends wish to grant you with a fork in the road.

Reid:  Well, as Yogi Berra once said, if there's a fork in the road, take it.

YS:  Again with your human dialect.  How disconcerting.  Maybe I should go...

Reid:  WAIT WAIT, Mr. Saron, at least tell me what the two options are!

YS:  Well well, you are not as stupid as I once thought.  Now, onto it!  For the rest of your days, you will spend them in ultimate pleasure.  As I have observed humans there are two pleasures to speak of.  Sleeping, and fapping.  Yet I unfortunately am not as powerful as N'Zoth the Corruptor, and therefore may only grant you one wish.
Mr. Bailley, your path of pleasure is this:  Either 1) You have no refraction period.  You can fap as many times as you like.  ALL DAY even!  but at a cost, you can never sleep, again.  Your energy will only come from the dopamine released from fapping.  2)  Eternal sleep, wondering about the mysteries of the universe, and dreaming about your favorite book, The Cave of Time by Edward Packard.

Mr. Bailley:  Well for some help, Mr. Saron, I must quote Shakespeare in Hamlet Act 4 scene 3, when he says,  "to sleep, perchance to drea..."

YS:  Pitiful Human, you have tested my patience.  Which is it????
Mr. Bailley:  WELL I UH< erm,  fapping is pleasant, but then again so is sleep........

(Reid Bailley wakes up from a daydream)

WHOA WHERE AM I?

Client : So she says that I fap too much and never take the time for her, but when i get kinky (yadda yadda yadda)

(Reid Bailley's narcolepsy kicks in again, and he dreams about being able to fap continuously and also sleep with wonderful dreams, at the same time)))

THE END

Welcome my fellow Blizzard fans!

Hello Everyone Moderator Brandon1op here with another fantastic update straight from the Devs at MnF club
This new update is the Oasis the magical land West of the City that reminds us all of Alladin

At the moment it is empty and more of a Rp zone for some people but like how the Red Heat was when it first opened when the Casino in the Oasis is released it will be a hot spot for players like how the Bar is so..give it time and a chance and realize the potential this new zone has before thinking "Oh..its an empty zone"

  The Lie of Life
Posted by: Melificent - 05-20-2016, 04:18 PM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (11)

The Lie of Life

Men are props on the stage of life.
These are the roots of our world.
No matter how tender, how exquisite a lie will remain a lie.

Life is brilliant. Beautiful.
It enchants us, to the point of obsession.
Men are props on the stage of life.

Peace grants men the illusion of life.
Knowing this, do you still desire peace?
No matter how tender, how exquisite a lie will remain a lie.

Shackled by falsehoods unaware of its grand illusion.
How you grapple with this dreadfully twisted world.
Men are props on the stage of life.

All men trust fully the illusion of life.
What drives you so, to overcome this supposed curse?
No matter how tender, how exquisite a lie will remain a lie.

What is it that you seek?
You cannot even say yourself.
Men are props on the stage of life.
No matter how tender, how exquisite a lie will remain a lie.

  Melancholic night
Posted by: Simple Tania - 05-20-2016, 03:36 PM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (4)

I think we all had this moments, the moment you listen to a song and think "what a hell? this guy composed this for me?", well, last night I had one of this moments, I was listening some songs from one of my favourite Portuguese 'song writers' Pedro Abrunhosa, when this song 'hits me' so bad, I felt so melancholic after that I had to shut down and went to bed, that bad...

I know, it's just a predisposition, I know that, today I listened again and it wasn't nothing like that, thank the Lord..., anyway it is an amazing lyric and so being, I decided to translated and share with you, hope you like it.

Ah! there are rhymes in the original lyric, in Portuguese, but I decided leave it that way instead of changing some words for others, I didn't want to 'violate' the message putting words of my own.

I post the link here in case someone want to hear it as well.

That was the time when the hands closed
And in the bright nights the words flew
And I saw that the sky was born of my fingers
And the Big Dipper were alight irons
Lost sailors in distant ports
In hidden bars, in giant dreams
And the empty city from the asphalt colour
And someone asked me to sing it louder

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

That was the time when the shadows opened
When men denied what others raised
I drank from life in small sips
Stumbled in laughter, embraced poisons
From backs turned we can’t see the future
Nor the course of the bullet, nor the fault in the wall
And someone shouted with a prophet voice
That the path is made between the target and the arrow

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

What good have the map if the end is traced
What good the land in sight if the boat is stopped
What good have the key if the door is opened
What good are the words if the house is deserted

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

Original song by Pedro Abrunhosa called 'Quem me leva os meus fantasmas'

  My dark times
Posted by: Drek - 05-20-2016, 01:24 PM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (24)

Here i will post some of my poetry that is parts of me, i've written it 2 and half years ago, some are dark poems but also light the first one i posted is here and it's the third i wrote, this one i'm sharing now is the second i wrote.

Unknown

Foreign

Alienated.

Desolation.

Rejected.

Lost.

Unknown.

Tomb with no memoria,

without firstname without lastname,

house without yard.

One heavy song,

one sad poem,

one pitiful soul,

one dead hand and one empty heart...

Unknown...

unknown city and priest,

foreign language and incomprehensible,

hope... sick and bitter,

dead body and fading suit...

Unknown time,

damned-heavy burden...

Tormented soul,

immesurable sorrow for one girl,

under the sweet pear tree.

  Open Community Animation
Posted by: Sasso - 05-20-2016, 06:01 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

If you've been in the art section in the creative writing section on the forums you've probably looked at all of the costume and pose designs created by the community. And mos of them are really good. Like, if someone showed me one of them and told me it was the new update coming into the game I'd probably believe them. MnF has a pretty distinct style with it's art but it's not a hard to copy style. The animation in game is a classic 2d style, you've probably sen stuff like it all over the place. But if these community creations are so good, why can't they be used in game?

I have no doubt that MnF Club has a talented and dedicated art community (one I honestly should be more involved with) and if MnF let it's community they would happily offer the sprites assets they made to be put in the game. Art is easy to use because it's 2d sprites and can be overlayed characters in game, which is something the art community does a lot of. If the templates that MnF uses were made public anyone with a drawing pad could try make an outfit and submit it, and the developers could choose to put it in their game if they liked it.

Animation's are something different. I'm not an animator (or a game developer for that matter) and I see how this could not work outside the people that are hired to do it, but again, 2d sprite animation in a distinct style. Maybe community submitted animations aren't very usable but the community could make their own assets and submit their plan for a pose?

I'm not a game developer or an animator, although I do some digital art for fun, and of course these are all suggestions. I could be wrong in how this game is made and that community created content isn't usable (please tell me if I'm wrong). But I hope it is, because I've seen so much stuff that I'd love to see in game. Updates in game aren't common right now while there are so many good ideas here that people would love to see used.

  Poison

Poison

You think you are bright.
All knowing and wise.
Then use your insight.
Open your eyes.

You skulk in the dark.
I live in the light.
I won't let you drag me there,
try as you might.

Blinded by anger.
Consumed by hate.
Life is short,
not a moment to waste.
You are toxic to me,
and sealed your fate.

  My Friend, Always There
Posted by: Kyrios - 05-18-2016, 10:40 PM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (6)

White clad warrior, pink princess, cutie, my friend,
Each time seeing you appear I smile, knowing,
That each time we're together something happens,
And always you're there.

Never do you realise this, that you're special,
Always tell me you're stupid, vapid, you're not,
RP you say you're no good, I'm with the best,
And always you're there.

I fell hurting, who was there, you were, helping,
Take stupid risks, you wish me good luck, don't judge,
Sometimes I'm a bit thoughtless, don't treat you right,
And always you're there.

  Wake Me Up
Posted by: Kyrios - 05-17-2016, 02:39 PM - Forum: Creative writing - Replies (12)

I bet no one can guess the inspiration for this one (Hint its the same as all the other dark blue ones).

Wake Me Up

When I awaken I can't help but smile,
A word from you sits waiting there for me,
You've woken me, I won't sleep for a while.

Something had been sleeping curled in a tight pile,
You touched it with your words and it broke free,
When I awaken I can't help but smile.

It's been some time since I had such a trial,
Though I can't go back it's so clear to see,
You've woken me, I won't sleep for a while.

We laugh and joke plan games with flare and style,
Go to sleep with a swirling thought or three,
When I awaken I can't help but smile.

You touch me soft, with a strange sensuous guile,
Twist me with your words, helpless I agree,
You've woken me, I won't sleep for a while.

Realised as your words made me juvenile,
You mean more to me than I could foresee,
When I awaken I can't help but smile,
You've woken me, I won't sleep for a while.

  Your Normal Day
Posted by: Sasso - 05-17-2016, 11:15 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (22)

What's your normal day in game, from when you log on untill you log off.

I'll start.

I log on then check the messages I logged off before I read last time (I just logged in after a week and had 12 messages...so many people must think i'm ignoring them I'm sorry...)

I head to the beach to hang out there, waiting for messages from new people or friends.

Sometimes, log in on my second account (I made a second account to give my main account some money, then out of curiosity I gave her a...uhh...more erotic name to see who'd message me. Results have been interesting, might make a thread about it soon...)

Then normally, if I'm still at the beach, I'll get distracted by other tabs, until I auto-disconnect after 10 minutes. That's probably why I always have a bunch of messages when I log on...

This just an example from a not very exciting day, so what about yours?
