TIN CRIB 'a sad christmas song' |

Three aluminum stars
Shining on a kerosene sky
A drunk asserting himself to be Caesar
Makes a solemn speech
Chinese shadows on the streets
Spiders are drawn in the webs
'Lockpicks' are impatient
Runs the 'horse' in the veins
There's a white light in the tent.
Inside a holy family
At the door an old tire with dirt
Where a bougainvillea grows
It's the tin crib...
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Hear a child's cry
Will be white, black or mulatto
Play the Trumpets of Hope
And settle well what date is
The moon bears good news
To the farthest suburbs
Warns pastors without a roof
Sad wandering 'wise men'
And there comes a sheet metal sun
Going up to advertise the day
Two little cardboard angels
Go singing 'Alleluia'
It's the tin crib...
Jingle bells, jingle bells
The child was born at last.
It was put here to false faith
The mother left him alone
The father doesn't know who it is.
It's the tin crib...
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Lyric from a song of Rui Veloso, I heard this afternoon.
Because it's Christmas everywhere, and it's Christmas for everybody, even for those who don't have, what we call, 'CHRISTMAS'!

Hi boys and girls, Christmas is right there, so... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
And I remembered this song, a very old but with a strong message, that made sense then, and make sense now. True, time is passed by, but the problems persist and sadly, they are even bigger. Not much we can do about it, but at least, in this season we all can do our little share.
Let's read, let's share this message in all languages, because no matter the countries, no matter the cultures, we ALL live in this 'bright blue dot'.
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me
In Portuguese...
Somos o mundo, somos as crianças
Somos aqueles que fazem um dia mais brilhante
Por isso vamos começar a dar
Há uma escolha que estamos a fazer
Estamos a salvar as nossas vidas
É verdade vamos fazer um dia melhor
Só tu e eu

My simulacrum stands here
It says what I cannot say
It speaks without any fear
It takes beatings -- chipped away
So I can fight another day.
If the link to me is cut
I cannot feel its sorrow.
If it is punched in the gut
I might feel it tomorrow
After the time I borrow.
You do what I must not do.
I cannot be so direct
But I always trusted you
And you showed such disrespect
Something I did not expect.
Did you know what you did?
Did you know you would be hated?
Did you expect to be found out?
Did you expect to be a villain?
Did you expect to be a victim?
Did you expect to be called on your hypocrisy?
Did you expect anything at all?
Did you know why you did it?
Do you even care?
You cannot answer.
Your words are like a ghost's.
Wispy and windry and full of air
Not meant for this world.
You are not hated
though your actions are.
You are beyond hate
Beyond this small world.
I can give no love
though you are lovable.
You are far from love
Far from this small small world.

Hello! Cath's here for another Sunday's mini thread!
You know, I love playing World of Tanks Blitz. It's a fun game, well, for me. In reality, it's actually really hard to manoeuvre a tank, it needs coordination and cooperation. And it's also a matter of life and death, so he respawn or rest.
So, today's topic is... gaming. What's your favorite kind of game?
What's your fav kind of game? What game? Any good memory about it? Tell us!
Ps: I know that some types go with another, like action and adventure. But it isn't always the case.
Also, I've chosen the Strategy

And well, again, that moment come,
In which his words should reach afar.
But as always, in his case,
That's a task he'd hardly overcome.
And he stood there, frozen up,
Thinking where he should began,
What to say and what to do,
So the message will reach where it needs to.
So there he thought;
He searched, he pondered and he tried,
To find a way to say the words,
The words which would clear his mind;
But as many times before,
He failed.
At this impossible task for him;
To simply say,
"I love you"
