This little poem, was inspired by and is dedicated to the lovely, Lexi.

FOR THE LOVE OF LEXI

My charred remains,
Eyes blank and dead,
Lie next to yours,
All stained in red.

My gaze now blank,
Whose final view,
Was tinged with love,
For such as you.

Arm outstretched,
In rigour's grip,
Touched your fingers,
Tip to tip.

Restless souls,
Now floating free,
Drift on the breeze,
So peacefully.

Kindred spirits,
In love they dwell,
Are reunited,
Here in Hell.

In The Night

The wind howls through gnarled limbs,
She rides,
She writhes...

O'er tops of roofs, through chimney cracks,
She yearns,
She moans...

Oaken fingers, tapping glass,
She sees,
She breathes...

The warmth within, this golden glow,
She wants,
She needs...

Roaring silence split asunder,
He groans,
He feels...

In darkness lightened, single flame,
He burns,
He loves...

In rhythmic time, the ebb and flow,
He thrusts,
He holds...

The warmth within, this golden glow,
He wants,
He needs...

As time it seems to slow and still,
They tense,
They sense...

With rapid movements, wet and wanton,
They jerk,
They shake...

In final throes of loves embrace,
They gasp,
They cum...

As the Sandman calls to stake his claim,
They sleep,
They sleep.

Love the simplicity of 'In The Night', gets the message across nicely and retains its power.

In The Night is deceptively simple and just got me headbanging halfway through reading it.
