Scams can be elaborate, football. Sometimes it can be easy to fall for it. :P

One of my uncles fell for some Microsoft-scam a year back, mainly because of a coincidence. 
His laptop crashed and literally the day after he was called up by someone who claimed to be working for Microsoft. 
In the end he lost 6000,- 

I felt pretty bad for him, mostly because he felt really stupid for falling for it. 

And sometimes people want to believe what other people are saying is true, even though it's not. ^^ 

I'm not arguing what you're saying though, because in most cases, the scam is pretty obvious. 
I wish people would find other ways to get money, instead of using such cheap methods. >_>

I'm struggling to understand what the scam is here? An offer of photos in return for a premium certificate? It isn't really a scam, just a very immoral way of acting.

What was the moral of this thread? Only issue I see is how dumb it is to send pictures or videos of yourself in exchange for money, or in this case membership. Once you have been compensated for the images/videos you have sold ownership of them. Sadly you have no control of what is done with them after this. Think people.

Sharp, I assume they claim the pictures are of themselves, and they turn out not to be, or something. Quite easy to avoid. Stop thinking with your penises and don't pay an anonymous stranger for pictures. You can probably subscribe to some kind of porn site for the same money instead.

Besides pictures there are also ppl that sell their pics, vids or sometimes even skype shows for real life money.
I heard that some ppl actually paid for those.
Thing is, DON'T buy any pics or vids for real life money since you never know if they actually belong to that person.
You can even find way more online so whats the use in buying them?

So just to let people know, it's not allowed to sell pics, vids or shows for real life money in the game.
If you find anyone doing that then please contact me. You can do that here on the forum or IG.

I admittedly paid for someone to have a premium account, but luckily I still had their info so I was able to cancel it (of course I got rid of their info shortly after that). I have gotten several people asking me if I can pay for them to get premium since then, and I always say 'no' now most are understanding I've only seen a few who've been some what persistent.

W1LL - I may be missing something, and maybe moderators will correct me here, but how is paying for someone's premium account in any way a scam? If you buy a premium certificate and decide to give it as a gift to someone... Well, that's actually what the certificates are for. So paying for someone is not a scam. If they promised you something in return, and you did not get what was promised - then THEY are the ones scamming YOU.

I think that's the point we're trying to push across. People promising stuff they don't plan on delivering in the end. And there is literally only one thing we can say. Don't pay people with irl money for things, you do it on your own risk and if you get scammed, there's nothing anyone can do for you.

I never said paying for someone's premium certificate is a scam (especially if you know them), but the person did remove me from their friends list, and I lost contact with them, so I did what was right and cancelled the premium membership that I payed for. besides what did this person promise you?
