I second that.  My English is more than sufficient to socialize in there, but we do have a lot of our countrymen in there  I can understand the limitation for public location chats (it could get difficult to read if you start seeing Cyrillic, Chinese, etc.), but at least for hotel rooms and PMs it would be nice to switch charsets
