Shen Gaoren
Race: Carapaceon.
Diet: Unknown, Suspected to be Omnivorous.
In terms of height and weight. Shen Gaoren belongs to a very special group of monsters that are considered massive enough to be a threat just by passing nearby villages. Thus, they are an emergency to be dealt with all the resources a hunter can. When you face off with one of these girls do not fool around, and remember, your objective is not to take them down, but to repel them.
Shen Gaoren are crab-like monsters with enourmous legs and pincers, their caparace and shell can easily weight a few tons, natural or not, so they move very slowly. Despite this, however, they boast incredible strengh, and can destroy a whole city in a matter of a couple of hours if they desired so. But, as it stands, most of the time this kind of monsters do not have a thirst for destruction, and they are simply passing through, hence why the usage of hunter parties to deal with them, rather than resolving to lethal force.
Their pincers and legs are both covered by a thick layer of shell that turns out to be a material very similar to bronze, making them walking fortresses. Their upper body, however, is extremely voluptuous. Soft and warm to the touch. That is the weakpoint a hunter must always attack when facing them. Although how to reach there in the first place is never clear, and it's a matter up to the hunter discover how.
Their voluptuousness is still captivating, all things considered. And they are meek, once face to face with a hunter. If one desires to truly defeat them however, you will also need them to get rid off their armored bits.
Basarios
Race: Flying Wyvern.
Diet: Minerals, Crystals, Coal.
Small wyverns that appear like petite girls coated in extremely tough, rock-like outer shells that can witstand a numberless amount of attacks without a scratch. Basarios are effectively the young state of another wyvern known as Gravios, however as their ecology is vastly different, they are listed as a different kind.
They pass the majority of their lives buried in the ground, in areas where the soil is rich in hard minerals, awaiting for their bodies to mature. However, sometimes, when their underground burrows run scarce of food, the move onwards to seek better places. Basarios then can be seen as half-burrowed rocks that drag on the surface as they migrate in this manner. Hunters are sent to deal with them whenever they find areas where they could be troublesome nuisances, for instance, a hungry Basarios alone could destroy the mining point of Coal on the volcanoes, or harm the fragile crystal settlements of the caves on the swamp.
Besides being armored juggernauts, Basarios have a poisonous gas attack that they release from their upper shells like fumes of a chimney, they can also hurl a large ball of fire from their mouths, and their roars are puncturing needles for the ears of any hunter that has the misfortune of hearing them without earplugs.
Lacking many weakpoints in plain sight, they are a difficult hunt for any inexperienced Hunter. However, one must know that they are curious and calm for a wyvern. Also worth noting, that their bellies are completely exposed, soft and sensitive, that is the closest thing to a weakpoint they have.
Although Basarios are in the same family of the flying wyverns, they cannot keep up in the air more than a couple of seconds due to the massive weight of their rocky scales, they are also unable to turn around or make sudden stops once they charge foward, and it's very difficult to them to get back on their feet once they have fallen on their backs.
Gravios
Race: Flying Wyvern.
Diet: Crystals, Minerals, Coal.
Highly dangerous wyverns, that live in volcanoes. They are the adult form of Basarios, and as a result of their changes throughout their adolesence time period, they have become much larger, are tougher and far more aggressive. Their breath attack is widely infamous for being a fiery beam of death and destruction, and their shells have evolved and compressed into a dense and heavy armor that dissipates heat with a fearsome ease, allowing them to dive and travel in moltern lava for a very prolonged time.
Gravios are much heavier than their younger counterparts, so they lost what little able to fly they had. Regardless, they gained a couple of attributes that make them far more resourceful creatures. Besides their much more dangerous firepower captabilities, they developed a hammer-like tail that counterweights their bodies, allowing them to turn around with lower difficulty despite their heavier shells, and now they release a sleep gas intead of a poisonous one. Their improved armor also came with a plate that covers the upper part of their sole weak point, so they are far more difficult to land a hit onto, and as their scales are not as protuding anymore, they can get on their feet by rolling if they fall down. Some speculate that, because of their diet is rich in pure coal since the infancy, they gain their beam-like breath attack, but the truth is uncertain.
Pitfall traps are this wyvern's demise, as they cannot get up from the holes being so heavy and having lost their able to fly. If a hunter has one, he can create a huge opening for attacks, granted only if he manages to get her to fall into it. Other kind of traps however...
Gravios are wild and fiery, it is not recommended for a hunter to fool around with one, although veteran hunters that get along with Basarios have been spotted with Gravios too. When questioned on this, they simply responded with a statement: "Basarios rarely forget a person." Thus, the mystery is solved.
