If you're asking yourself "Why?" about any aspect of how your character behaves, then congratulations, you've just put more thought into it than a vast majority of your peers.
In addition, my perspective as a mod is this: I for one am not going to ban anyone just for saying they don't want to have sex with _____ (insert any race you wish into these blanks) people in their profile. That's a preference and you have a right to it. I might even go as far as to say that looking for "sluts" of a particular race is also not racist, since the emphasis is on the specific kind of slut and not stating that all black/white/green/etc women are sluts. It's when you start getting into statements like "_____ women only exist to serve _____ cocks" and "_____ is better" and so on that you'll get a mod stepping in. You want to say that to a consenting partner in private, though? By all means don't let me stop you.
Finally, speaking of elves, this only applies to real-world races. No one is going to get banned for saying elves are just knife-eared breeding cocksleeves for orcs, or the only thing greenskins are good for is being milked by draenei exarchs or whatever. Just be respectful of the player behind the character.
