- The Last of Us. This might be my favorite game of all time. It has everything. The best protagonist (Joel <3) and a relationship that evolves as the game progresses. Amazing gameplay with nail biting stealth, scary horror moments and adrenaline filled action. You follow a beautiful story that will keep you immersed and begging for more. I cried and laughed more times than I can count when playing this game. It probably has faults, but I am blinded by my fangirl attitude to this game, and in my eyes it's perfect. >_>
Stealth
- Dishonored. A really cool first person stealth game, which I highly recommend if stealth is your thing, 2nd one is coming out soon! And you get to influence the story through your choices. Do you use a lethal or non-lethal approach?
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It plays out in the famous Lord of the Rings universe! You work together with an ancient elf spirit to enact revenge upon the orcs! Has a bit of a Assassins Creed feel to it. With a twist.
- Murdered: Soul Suspect. You're a detective who gets murdered and become a ghost, and you have to solve your muder from beyond the grave! There's a bit of stealth to it, cause demons will chase you every now and then, so you gotta make sure to sneak around them.
- Assassins Creed: Black Flag. What can I say... Pirates...
- Thief. You're a thief with certain powers (much like in Dishonored) in a 1700s? fantasy settings. Lots of awesome stealth action!
- Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. The last game in an epic series! Pure stealth bliss. Great music, gameplay and story writing! The end is cut short though...
- Splinter Cell: Conviction. Coop stealth! You're a spy and you can play together with a friend!
- Hitman: Absolution. I just love playing the cold and precise Agent 47. Finding new ways to kill people.
- Payday 2. You rob banks, stores, casinos and just about everything else that can be robbed. This can be done stealthily, or loudly with guns blazing. A lot of fun if you have friends to play it with!
RPG
- Dragon Age 1-3. I had a lot of fun with Dragon Age and would recommend it to any RPG lover! Each game is in the same universe and follows the same timeline, but you follow a new protagonist each time. Lots of choices!
- Mass Effect 1-3. From Bioware, the people who made Dragon Age. But instead of a medival fantasy setting, you're far into the future with space travel and stuff. And you follow the same protagonist, called Shepard. Honestly, if you like one Bioware game, I'd recommend all of them!
- Divinty: Original Sin. Very dynamic, and amazing to play as a mage. Lots of ways to play around with spells! And the story was a lot of fun.
- Shadowrun. These games are kinda linear, but the story and fun gameplay makes up for it.
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Stealth RPG, but you can go at it loud as well! Much fun! Sci-fi, a future where people go about modifying their bodies with mechanical parts.
- Fallout 4. Say what you want, I had a lot of fun with that game, lots of hours spent playing it! Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, etc etc. I'd recommend many of the Bethesda games.
- Final Fantasy. I've always had a soft spot for the Final Fantasy games and I've played all of them from 7th to latest.
- The Witcher. 2nd game was good, 3rd one was amazing. 1st one was definitely the worst of the 3. The story was good and the gameplay was fine. But voice acting was the worst!
Adventure
- Uncharted. All of them are amazing, so much fun. You play as Nathan Drake, treasure hunter. So much amazing! And the male version of Lara Croft.
- Tomb Raider. Only the 2 latest games, the older ones are lacking. But the 2 latest additions, can't recommend them enough!
- Telltale. I haven't played their games before Walking Dead, Walking Dead and the ones after have all been tons of fun. It borders into point and click, I used to love those kind of games when I was a kid.
- Deponia. I haven't completed it, but it's been a lot of fun so far. Lots of madness and insanity! Point and click.
- Beyond: Two Souls. One of my favorite games. You follow the life of a girl that has a spirit following her. You control them both, meaning you can play them in a way that they don't always agree. And your choices will affect the story and ending. It jumps a bit in time though, and doesn't go in a straight line.
- Mad Max. I usually don't like games based on movies. But this game was badass. Lots of fun to play around with the car.
Strategy
- Valkyria Chronicles. Turn-based strategy with RPG elements. It's kinda hard to explain, but it's amazing!
- XCOM2. Another turn-based strategy with RPG elements and a fun cover system. A huge recommend if you haven't played it.
Horror
- Dead Space. These games are very creepy, but you get guns. I've never been a fan of horror games where you can't defend yourself, it makes no sense to me...
- Resident Evil 5. I had lots of fun playing this with a friend and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a bit of horror and zombie killing.
- The Evil Within. I'm not even sure what the heck was going on, so much insanity and madness. All kinds of fucked up monsters and most of the time it's better to turn tail and run. So much scare, such cry for mom.
FPS
- Bioshock 1 & Infinite. Infinite was such a mind blow. I wish I could forget all about it just so I could play it again. Both were great FPS with awesome story added.
- Killing Floor 2. Mindless killing of failed experiments. Been playing this with my friends a lot. There is something about seeing guts and gore flying left and right while listening to death metal music. I use instrumental versions.
- Left 4 Dead 2. More mindless killing, but with zombies instead!
MMO
- Smite. I haven't played it in a long time now, but it's the only MOBA I enjoyed.
- Black Desert. An MMORPG that I've been playing recently. Definitely not for everyone, it's kinda weird. But I enjoy it a lot.
Simulator
- Sims 4. I like the art and there are a lot of improvements. It will eventually catch up to the older games in content and probably get more. We just need to remember that every Sims game started out with less!
Ok, so there are lots more games I'd recommend... But the list would be so big. I tried to make it so colors show games that are similar in the same genre.
Emmie.....can i marry you please....i think we could live happily ever after while playing on all these games....I mean except for the MMO and the strategy list which i havent played but the rest, feel like we have similar taste
Last of us...that was,just...it had some good feels in that, its gripping....however i did not imagine it to go supernatural as the game progressed, and yes, i did cry inside specially towards the end....why they makes us choose like that?
