You'd think the strangest RPs I've done would be with Gronk as an orc. There've been some wild ones, for sure. But by far, in terms of sheer strangeness, I haven't yet found an experience that comes close to my one-night stand with Toriel from Undertale.
It had everything. References galore. Increasingly crude and dirty knock-knock jokes. lower-case sans bone puns. There was even an accidental boss mama BETRAYAL (I thought it was rude to call her goat mama; she's clearly a Boss Monster) when she wanted to go up a cup size and the rodeo cash transfer got fucked up! After we had finally settled things, she gave me a spanking for my bad behavior, which I thought was appropriate since I'm on a pacifist run. And then my boss mama allowed me to eat some nice warm pie as a reward for showing her so much Determination.
