Should we allow pic/video selling on MnF?
#1
I posted this on Twitter, and barring a late-night boost, it looks like the no's have it. So I'm going to bring this question to you forum folks to kick off 2020.

For those of you who saw me post on Twitter, you know I personally don't like it. It's resulted in a scam 99% of the time, with the other 1% getting screwed over by some extra-special scammers looking to screw over both the original people in the pics as well as the people buying them. We used to have a few amateur posts here and there in the museum, and those have gotten less and less common over time. I don't blame people for being even more shy than usual about it if some scammer is going to copy their pics and paste them on imgur or whatever just to make a few hundred bucks.

Don't even get me started on "camming" for cash, which invariably involves bringing someone to appear.in and then streaming a crappy Pornhub video.

That said, I understand that we've got a free market for codes (the fact that said market is obviously broken as fuck is not relevant to this thread). And it makes perfect sense for people to offer their own nudes for cash, and if someone said "I'll send you 3 of my favorite pics for $1000" I'd say that's not a bad deal at all. To not allow that would be a slippery slope into not allowing posting pics to spice up the sex scenes, a very common practice that helps add an extra visual element and also help with those attempting to communicate in a language they're not fluent in, which would be unfair to get rid of.

So I'm going to put it to you folks before the mod team makes any sort of request to change our Terms of Service. And if there's some third option that should be considered, please say so. I'm especially interested in those who vote yes or have a third option.

Because this is an important question, please keep your posts on-topic. No personal attacks on devs, mods or other players in this thread!

Thanks. And now... let's get it on!

Allez cuisine!

To protect the longevity of the game we must ensure it is a safe place.

All it takes is a few bad apples to make a public mistake to send the game crashing down. There are plenty of other places to do that and its not a necessity to play the game. So it's not worth the risk.

Protect the game and protect our fantasy world

What's the actual incentive to use mnfclub as a platform to sell your own pictures? If you're doing it for real you'll be using a service like snapchat to make actual money, not a random flash sex game to make funbux.

It's always going to be a scam or third party seller. Blanket ban.

Then make it easier to win cash in games and casino, or lower cost of premium items.

I'm going to go ahead and say that I don't think this is a good idea. I've seen too many scams and too many people get taken advantage of to think that this is something that we should be encouraging on our platform. I understand that people want to make money off of their own nude photos, and I get that. But there are plenty of other ways to do that that don't involve posting them on a public forum where anyone can see them. If someone is willing to pay for nudes, there are plenty of other places they can go to find them. Better would be to get involved in the adult webcam business. There you can make a lot of money.

I don't understand what is the purpose of selling nudes in the first place. For the people who are too lazy to look up on the internet for "Nudes"?.Almost majority of the people play this game to hide their real identity it will surely result in scams. There is already a platform for showcasing the nudes in museum of sex art.If it is to make money for female avatars? There are lot of options available for that too ,a lot more than male avatars i must say.So allowing the Selling of pics/videos is not imperative IMO.

I definitely don't support this. This has been there since very start, which 2017. People have been doing this for real money/In-game cash. The worst part is, the pictures that they offer to sell aren't even there's. So probably, the user finds them on google or somehow managed to get someone else's private photos.

This is something that violates the privacy of players. Mods should actually have a look into this matter.
