Suggestion Thread #II: Even better suggestions!
(04-10-2018, 02:38 PM)Elder Statesman Wrote: Dear Charlie (or not),
I dosnt mean especially your ideas, when i wrote this.
Of course I have read them (and I hope I understand them right! Smile )
Most of them I agree totaly, the rest ist very interesting and worth to discuss.
I m following this game since the very beginning in December 2016.
Everytime we discuss some ideas, someone will cry :
"The Devs are so mean! We want more poses/updates/Clothes/features free for Non-Prems!"
I m a little bit bored of this, you understand?
If you buy an App or programm or game, you have usually 30 Days to test it.
Then you have to buy or retire. That maybe hard, but its how things work!
We should not worry about it.
We need more construtive ideas instead of this, just like you gave us some! Smile

Greetings, Elder Statesman.

Greetings, Mr. Elder,
Im glad that you read my posts entirely, and I hope you understand my perspective of things, although, I have some doubts about some of your words, also I'm in the game since the half of 2016, I just started participating in the forums at the half of 2017. About some of your words...
-"The Devs are so mean! We want more poses/updates/Clothes/features free for Non-Prems!"
I m a little bit bored of this, you understand? -
Why do you think people have been saying that for those 2 years since you joined the game? (and maybe it's said before you joined too). In my perspective I think thats why people are expecting a change since then, the community, since then, was already feeling unanswered by the devs, and I don't think devs are mean, but something doesn't sounds good for me there... I mean, cmon people are complaining about it before you even joined the game, and to make the game better and make it progress, you have to listen to all those complaints and look a way to solve them...
Passing to other thing you said,
- "If you buy an App or programm or game, you have usually 30 Days to test it." - Im quite certain that you don't buy a trial version (30 days of testing) you download it, and when those 30 days pass by, you loose the ability to use the app again, because your 30 days free trial version expired. All in all, thats an example that can't be applied to this game, because those 30 days trial apps are paid apps, this game is a free game with microtransactions included (I could give examples of this games suchs as cs:go, warframe, pubg, etc., most known games actually). In this free games with microtransactions which I mentioned before, devs actually look for balancing free stuff with premium stuff, making it fair for most of the players. This encourages starting players to keep playing the game without having to pay before you reach a good stage in the game.
I quite know about this things because I studied business management (mostly related to computer/virtual business) and I'm also quite a gamer myself, so I know how game economics work Smile
Well I hope I didn't bore anyone here Tongue
Regards to everyone! Smile
Logging on tonight I see only four posts today. Three seem personal: normally more but often only one or two of general interest.

It’s good to see some new posters here but it’s mainly older ones and still so few out of nearly one million players.

First, JohnSins – Changing eye colour is realistic – contact lenses. White girls can tan and lose tan but you can’t really change skin beyond that. Maybe not that difficult to implement but is there much demand?

NotCharlieHarper – Please keep posting. New ideas are always welcome for discussion. One month premium would seem like a good idea but not if it were used only to get apartments. New ways to pay yes but PayPal don’t do adult sites.

Elder Statesman - You have every right to give your opinion and anyone that disagrees should address your points not you for making them. I basically agree but the game needs a certain mass and that is made up of non-premium players. They will not try and become premium so to keep them the difference has to be lowered, not a lot but they should be offered something. Maybe upgrades when achieving higher levels.

It was reported that Devs would release poses for free as new premium ones were introduced but that happened only once.

Your comparison to trying and buying is flawed. If non-prems left there would be far fewer people to go with. I might have a paid for upgraded PDF function but it is only useful if recipients have a free application to open them.

When I meant a realistic addition, I literally meant that it is a suggestion that can 100% be implemented within the game as nothing about the game itself just changes. Just have to go to the plastic surgeon, and voila, your now a new person who can now try different RP topics and such without creating/using a different avatar... I mean if you can change everything else, why not your eye and skin color too?... I need my summer tan already, lol...

I misunderstood what you meant by realistic additions.

Yes, if you can choose noses, ears hair colour etc  at start and change many in game why not?

But adding that to surgeon and voila would need an interface update with them which would require work.   Easier to do for eye colour - add it to glasses shop – but maybe need to add a tanning shop for skin changes.

I take your point about RP players and have AV that I wished I’d not made so light but not sure if demand/ease of implementation balance is strong.
hard to get $250 to get premium codes I still have $66k
Well, greetings to all again, I have come to leave some guidance words for us as a whole community and for the devs to take some notes Smile
First things first I might add that I have spent quite some time to read the whole suggestions thread, got many of my ideas improved and got new ideas from the old ones too. And I'm not going to lie, I quite had fun and loled a lot with some posts (like Jessi_V constant claim for the standing doggy pose on every page Tongue and some other ironic and sarcastic comments). I have to add, that I made a "Priority order updates list" (way easier for the devs to know what to focus on), and in this list sometimes I explain a bit some things and sometimes I don't because some of the things I don't explain are implicit in this same thread, and I want you to take a look at it as I did so you do like me and maybe you'll get your ideas improved or come across with new ideas (and you'll probably laugh like me too Tongue).
Okay so I'm starting with the things I queued in my "to say" list (some of them are for us as a community and some of them are for devs):
1st - Looking the whole thread I noticed quite some concern about the way MnF Club players involve in the forums, most of the players don't even know there's a forum that's used to send feedback or complain (politely) about things in game, and I think mods and forum users as well should be fomenting the use of this great tool we have, maybe questioning the players in game, spamming a bit (in the good way of meaning spam tho) in the servers, or just chatting with people about it while you are bored just standing in wild west (or your prefered location to stay still and chat) and linking them this forum or this same thread. It's important that we can read the whole community opinions, not just the opinion of 5-10 people that log in to the forums.
2nd - This one might be a bit way to much controversial, but looking at my updates list, it might have some quite sense since the level/exp rework topic has appeared, I would even agree at once this is way too much, but it's a sort of idea to balance things between prem and non-prems since the begining. And what I really mean is a game reboot, after the overhaul update (if devs decide to do it) we should all start from 0, level, money and exp. Just like if this phase of the game is an "alpha" phase, of course players who played "alpha" phase would get rewarded in the "beta" phase. But as I said before, this idea is a "bit" crazy and way to futuristic (in the time-lapse meaning way), but this should be kept in mind.
3rd - I mentioned (sort of) before that communication is way important here, and everywhere too, of course. So what about communication? Well, this forum is quite the tool to communicate from both ways, players and devs... But I quite feel that devs don't communicate too much using this tool (well, at least they communicate more using twitter, dont they? Dodgy ). I know devs may be busy doing their things and that they communicate with mods, but they should give us all advancements about game updates, making us know that our feedback is being useful, and even spend some time to chat with us about game features and mechanics. Communication must be reciprocal!
4th - Here's another bit controversial topic, less than the 2nd one though  Tongue . Seen quite people agree and disagree in this matter: the game update rate. And I'm no one to talk about it too, but in this thread there has been already quite some disscusing about it, and as I stated before, we need more communication. I don't know the devs, most of the community don't and we really don't know how busy they can be working on other MnF games or even in this same game, we don't even know how many devs are there in the "MnF Club team" (I supose devs in the MnF games work in teams, right?). I quite off the branch now, I'll go straight to the point in what I really wanted to say: Devs have ever thought about recruiting talented people from the community to help them? I have seen quite some people that drew excellent clothes and poses, same as MnF style ones, really impressive to say so. So why don't devs offer some space for them to work in a section called "clothes and poses" meanwhile devs keep working on functinallities and systems? I bet most of the community would help willingly the devs to make this game improve a lot faster, you can even reward them with ingame prem or pay them, it's worth the investment really  Smile
5th - This is my last point, it's more a mod-oriented suggestion, there's quite a problem about the polls thing right here, and thats is because we have polls in two different platforms, having two same polls going on in different platforms could be very problematic, because in someways or another any of the two poll results could be different. In my personal opinion, polls must be done in only on platform, accesible for all, preferably the forum, so that way everyone who votes gets involved into the forum (way to help solving the issue in point 1). Whenever a poll is in process, it must be in the forum and twitter should post the link to the forum (I have to add that the poll must be forum-users only) and in the same poll post the poll must be explained briefly for newcomers. Also about explaining the polls I think a pre-poll post should be made, disscussing what options must be in the poll, putting a time cap on the post so it doesn't take a week to decide  Smile More or less like we are doing in this thread, but opening a new thread specific for the poll, and then closing it, so doing that way we have a better way to file and organise whats discussed in the poll.

Off-point, I have another message for the devs if they ever read this: As I see the game now, I see a gold mine full of gold and things to exploit (into legal terms of course), but I quite see that you are sending 3 peasants to that gold mine (not mentioning any dev, or worker here, maybe an AoE reference Big Grin ), with the proper investment this game could be highly sustainable such as big rebranded games out there, the fact that this game being in browser is a big advantage, and this may sound risky for me, but if devs don't see the big community they can make here at least see the profit, aka "potential", this game has and start thinking more seriously in investing in this game.

So that's all for today pals, hope you'll take some time reading this carefully and I hope not to bore you all.
See ya, and have fun in MnF!

P.S.(aka "advice"):" This post is not meant in any way to be rude or agressivly complaining about anyone or anything, all the things wrote above are pure constructive criticism, and should be interpreted that way. No people or animals were harmed or intended to harm in the making of this post."

P.S.2(aka "real P.S." Big Grin ): Oh and I attached the Priority updates lists file so you may look if its okay for you (I know some of you will disagree but it's fine, I'll take notes on that  Sleepy ).

NotCharlieHarper

Hi, had to look up who Charlie Harper was.

Well done for compiling this list.   I never could understand why some people were so against it, wanting just a long thread of random, often repeated, suggestions.   No one ever said it would be definitive, that it could not be added to.   Having a list makes it easier to discuss ideas and priorities and not repeat suggestions already made.

1st   Yes, it seems very few on forum.   A hard core of regular posters plus some with a single issue to raise.   However, looking at views tells a different story:  435 replies to this thread but 73,752 views.   Even taking into account multiple views by same person there seem to be a lot more on forum than may be assumed.

2nd   You seem to be suggesting that existing players be stripped of their levels, money and exp.   Then I think a lot of high level players would not return;  I doubt that I would.   But then you confuse by talking about a reward.

3rd   I don’t want to waste dev’s time but a single line saying we are aware of something and will fix it or it can’t reasonably be fixed would be helpful.   And why are they using twitter not forum?

4th   I don’t think that there are many devs.   Nothing wrong with your idea in principle but I think that there is a big difference between drawing an outfit or pose and implementing it in game.

5th   Agreed except that I think that a week each is about the right length of time for a pre-poll and the poll itself.

Only had quick look through your list;  agree with some things but not others.   Many will have a different opinion to mine.   What have to be factors are how many players want something and how easy would it be to implement.   MM and FF oral seem equal in ease of implementation but a much bigger demand for latter.   Skin and eye changes are possible but the work would seem to be in changing the doctor and hairdresser interface.

Maybe, as Overfiend suggested, arrange by priority and area:  poses, clothes functionality etc.

As i know there are only 2 developers: Vadim and Sarega

Hello there Zephyr Smile
Yeah, I know that the 2nd idea is a bit crazy but when I meant reward it was for the "alpha" players who reached higher level to compensate the reboot, but as I said before, if no one agrees with it, I'm okay Tongue .
About the 3rd one, yeah it's okay with them using twitter, but it would be a good thing to see them participating here too, and maybe telling why some ideas cant be done.
The 4th thing, I know there is quite a difference, but recruiting more people is a very good way to reduce work time for 2 devs, making the things go a bit faster, and when I meant recruiting people I didn't mean artists only  Tongue .
I think with more people working in the game we can manage to have constant poses and functionalities updates, wihtout having anyone complain about poses Smile

Hope I clarified some ideas, regards! Smile
Dear Charlie,
sorry, that i must say so:
The 2nd Idea is bullshit! Tongue
Lets discuss the others... Wink

Greetings, Elder Statesman.
