Recent Changes/Updates and Thoughts

After that is an update that I think newbies'll benefit from most, though it will affect pretty much everyone. That one I'm keeping a lid on for now.

Hows the bank going to work, its just a place to keep imaginary money? Even though we already have a "banking" type system on our characters?

I'm a bit surprised you could forget how much some people care about imaginary money -- even here. Just look at the auction thread if you need proof.

As far as I know, at this point we're looking just at cash transfers from one avatar to another. I expect (but I'm not quite sure) that a formal cash transfer system would also include logs of these transfers, which would make it easier to track cash that might've been scammed from users.

I've also reached out to Serega to see what he's up to in addition to working on the bank. Hopefully I'll have more to hype soon.

may i also suggest interest income on money held in the bank like 5% or 10%?
And also Short-term Time Deposits like real life Certificate of Deposit (CDs) for earning a higher interest rate for a fixed time period. So if you select $1000 or more to be held in a CD for 1 week you can earn 10% or 20% on that amount.
These provide incentives to use the bank. It's also a more conservative approach to earning money for those that don't want to take the risk of a casino and don't have the time to spend in the mini-games.

I know this has probably been posted somewhere already, but when is the bank opening up in the game?

From what I noticed around, but again, I might be wrong, I think it's about to be the end of the month, or during the next month.

Maybe doors will open and we will see a new area but without functionality. I hope this wouldn't be the case. xD

Pretty sure they wouldn't open it up and not have it function they'd get too much backlash if they did

Yeah, needless to say there's been a delay. :/ It's still slated to be next.
