Melancholic night
#1
I think we all had this moments, the moment you listen to a song and think "what a hell? this guy composed this for me?", well, last night I had one of this moments, I was listening some songs from one of my favourite Portuguese 'song writers' Pedro Abrunhosa, when this song 'hits me' so bad, I felt so melancholic after that I had to shut down and went to bed, that bad...

I know, it's just a predisposition, I know that, today I listened again and it wasn't nothing like that, thank the Lord..., anyway it is an amazing lyric and so being, I decided to translated and share with you, hope you like it.

Ah! there are rhymes in the original lyric, in Portuguese, but I decided leave it that way instead of changing some words for others, I didn't want to 'violate' the message putting words of my own.

I post the link here in case someone want to hear it as well.

That was the time when the hands closed
And in the bright nights the words flew
And I saw that the sky was born of my fingers
And the Big Dipper were alight irons
Lost sailors in distant ports
In hidden bars, in giant dreams
And the empty city from the asphalt colour
And someone asked me to sing it louder

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

That was the time when the shadows opened
When men denied what others raised
I drank from life in small sips
Stumbled in laughter, embraced poisons
From backs turned we can’t see the future
Nor the course of the bullet, nor the fault in the wall
And someone shouted with a prophet voice
That the path is made between the target and the arrow

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

What good have the map if the end is traced
What good the land in sight if the boat is stopped
What good have the key if the door is opened
What good are the words if the house is deserted

Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
Who tells me where is the road
Who leads me my ghosts
Who leads me my ghosts
Who saves me from this sword
And tell me where is… the road!

Original song by Pedro Abrunhosa called 'Quem me leva os meus fantasmas'

There is definitly NOTHING to be sorry for. A friend of mine was feeling melancholic and I kept her some company and talked to her. Simple and pleasant
