Why to insist in this pain
Why not put an end on it
I have nothing left to gain
Or anything else to permit
I have no more promises
My heart knows the true
Forcing becomes ominous
Of the need to live through
Even saying without feeling
What my feelings proclaim
The words are so revealing
Of a broke soul set in flame
My love, in your memory
There's a silence of ours
That hits me in a reverie
Lingering for long hours
