Ascension Part 12: Rivals - Kyrios - 07-21-2016
A swell of pride with outstretched hand aiming for the crown,
At Anelahk's crafts, Axela's rivalry did spark,
Approaching a forge she lifted a hammer of her own,
No failure had touched her so she deemed to leave her mark.
Steel heated cherry red, the hammer flew in an arc,
Axela let her magic flow, infusing with her art,
As her creation neared completion she called all to hark,
To lay their eyes upon that which talent could impart.
At last her masterpiece was formed and its import,
Was seen by Anelahk to finally attest,
That for all the skill and dominance Axela did purport,
Hard work could not be beaten if you want to be the best.
Axela hissed and turned away, tossed the new ring from her hand,
Determined to have victory against a foe so grand.
