It's an almond pie, it's one of our specialities, we have it in a normal size (for a pie) and we have it in that short size (as a cake) it's very good indeed, I love almonds and in that pie with the caramel covering the all thing, is just amazing!!!

Now I have to go to Mr Domingos bakery and eat one, brb....kkkkk

I don't eat cakes, I don't like pastel de nata, tentugal, Azeitão pies, almond pies, all the Alentejo bakery(too much sugar and eggs), Cavacas, that almond cakes from Algarve, Dom Rodrigos, etc...

The only exception is the travesseiro from periquita, when I go to Sintra it's my guilty pleasure, I have to eat one!!!

Did you try the 'queijadas'? another speciality from Sintra, I like it very much when I was younger, it's a small cake made with cheese, they sell it in a paper package (6 queijadas wrapped)
